The Subject Matter Expert (SME) is to make use of any and all available resources, methods, techniques and strategies to ensure curriculum enables student success in an engaged, face to face environment. The Subject Matter Expert is expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and product strategists to create a learning atmosphere which is pedagogically sound, technically supported, and innovative in nature.
SAIT's Continuing Education & Professional Development department is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide guidance on courses relating to Policy and Regulations in Carbon Management for our new Carbon Capture Management Program! This course area will examine the policy landscape and regulatory frameworks governing carbon management at the local, national and international levels, with a focus on compliance and governance. Our ideal candidate will have expertise in the regulatory and policy landscape, with specific experience in compliance frameworks, governance structures and policy development to support carbon management initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
One of: A Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Petroleum Geology (preferred), a Petroleum Engineering or Petroleum Geology Technology Diploma or Degree (or equivalent)2+ years of relevant industry experienceExpertise in the regulatory and policy landscape that governs carbon management at the local, national, and international levelsExperience in compliance frameworks, governance structures and policy development to support carbon management initiativesEquivalent combinations of education and experience may be consideredFluent in English reading and vocabularyComfortable speaking to the publicPositive & respectful attitudeAbility to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculumExcellent communication skillsAbility to organize and present written information
