MAJOR DUTIES: As a Human Resources Specialist within the Office of Human Capital, some of your specific duties will include: Serves as a senior consultant and bureau subject matter expert providing technical guidance and policy support in recruitment and placement, and Human Resources Information Systems. Serves as the technical expert for the bureau advising human resources and senior management in all areas of staffing, recruitment and HR information systems. Represents the bureau on Department of the Interior (DOI) work teams and represents the bureau as the subject matter expert on such teams, to bureau leadership, and the HR functions across the bureau. Conducts data integrity audits of significant scope. Reviews bureau wide data on a regular basis to identify areas of needed improvement. Conducts careful study of processes and works with operational HR Staff to determine how to implement improvements.
