MAJOR DUTIES: As a Loan Specialist (Commercial), you will perform the following duties: Conduct financial analysis for the Fisheries Finance Program (FFP) on commercial loan applicants ranging from small sole proprietors to large corporations in order to determine associated credit risk for potential program borrowers. Maintain a loan portfolio of businesses and collect required annual financial reports from borrowers and inputs information into database. Review balance sheets and income statements to evaluate the working capital and cash flow abilities of applicants and compose concise loan reports with comprehensive written analysis on loan recommendations.
