Occupational Health Practice Manager

Ensuring a range of performance measures are achieved which will include budget control and customer service to all employees and wider stakeholders, you will lead the operational activity of the Occupational Health function by recognising the legal requirements of data protection and patient confidentiality.
Working to review the delivery of a quality Occupational Health service, you will ensure the needs of the company are met with focus on physical, mental health science and trends, developing and maintaining employee Occupational Health services through review and implementation of administrative procedures.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting the Director of Occupational Health, Hygiene & Wellbeing with negotiation and delivery of all procurement and service contracts/frameworks within Occupational Health remit, you will utilise ScottishPower procurement processes, taking responsibility for processing invoices and goods received notices.
Providing monthly Occupational Health budget reports and forecasts, you will also manage patient records and eOPAS IT systems to ensure GDPR compliance against standards and KPIs.
Liaising with Occupational Health clinical staff, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Counsellors and other medical practice employees, you will ensure all have necessary support, overseeing the daily practice of operations which includes appointment scheduling, calibration of equipment and maintaining adequate stocks of clinical consumables.
Evaluating appointment procedures and patient services, you will also recruit, train and supervise new Administrative employees to interact with employees and Managers, continually seeking customer feedback about the service.
What you’ll bring
As a previous Medical Administrator from a clinical setting, you will possess strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to problem solve using your organisational and medical administrative experiences.
Working as part of a team and on your own initiative, you will hold knowledge and understanding of GDPR and the ability to maintain confidentiality within this at times, pressurised environment.
With previous Occupational Health experience using eOPAS to an advanced level, you will be comfortable organising the Occupational Health teams workload using eOPAS over a 12-month planning horizon setting in conjunction with the Head of Occupational Health.
