At Salute, we deliver mission-critical infrastructure that powers the digital world. As we continue to expand across EMEA, we are looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the go-to-market for Energy Management & Sustainability (EM&S) across the market.

This is a senior, high-impact role and you will drive revenue for the EM&S business while using its capabilities to differentiate and open doors for Salute’s wider service offering.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead market-facing origination — research, sales collateral and early client engagement — working closely with the Department Operations Director and Sustainability Director
Conduct ongoing market, client and competitive research, tracking regulatory change, tenant/investor requirements and competitor positioning
Develop and maintain a client-facing playbook that combines the EM&S and broader Salute offering into a single, compelling proposition
Identify and pursue new clients through coordinated, targeted outreach
Lead early-stage client engagement, open relationships and shape the initial commercial conversation, bringing in EM&S technical specialists at the right point
Develop account plans for existing relationships and identify tangible growth opportunities
Support existing client engagement where additional value can be delivered
Provide client and market insight to internal teams to strengthen service development
Support contractual and commercial alignment working with the Department Operations Director
Act as the connective tissue between service lines, regional sales and the EM&S team
Support partnership development and ensure partnerships convert into commercial outcomes

Experience/Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales or business development within the data centre, critical facilities, energy, sustainability or professional services sector
Strong understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability drivers, regulation, or data centre operations (commercial rather than purely technical knowledge is essential)
Track record of selling complex, consultative or multi-service solutions rather than transactional products
Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, sales playbooks or structured business development plans
Ability to open new relationships, shape early commercial conversations and work effectively with technical specialists
Excellent stakeholder management skills — comfortable working across sales teams, service lines and senior internal stakeholders
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and convert cross-sell and new business opportunities
Willingness to travel extensively across Europe (up to 50%)
Fluent English (additional European languages are an advantage)

Location & Travel:

The role is based within reach of major data centre markets in the UK, Ireland or the Netherlands. Other Central European locations will be considered. Travel of up to 50% should be expected.
