The Global Technical & Safety Training organization is a team of learning professionals and other specialists focused on ensuring the best learning solutions and tools are available for our stakeholders to develop the right skills, qualifications and competencies to transport, installation, commission, and service Vestas products, in the safest and most effective way
Responsibilities
- Develop course outline, module outlines and training materials for new turbines, and MK upgrades
- Development of course materials which are stored in the Document Management System including Up-tower repair & Multibrand courses (SAP DMS)
- Maintain and update existing technical and safety training outlines and content
- Develop course content that comes from the business not covered by the Documentation & Training Development organization
- Ensure continuous improvement of all course materials in a structured way
- Manage education material - ensure timely deliverables for training execution for new wind turbine types and mark upgrades
- Overall responsible for our education material - updates and alignment
- Development of special courses which are included in service engineering roadmap
- Define specification for training equipment (training hardware and simulators) for new products and MK upgrades
- Develop content for digital platforms (including e-learning/mobile learning) that supports learning which is portable, scalable, and easily accessible to the remotest employee within the organization
- Providing creative and innovative ideas to ensure all learning developed is engaging, appropriate to the audience, and meets the business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical
- 3-7 years of experience & Technical knowledge in various Wind Turbines (Operation, Maintenance & Installations)
- Experience in Technical Training delivery / Instructing skill is preferable
Competencies
- Ability to read & understand various wind turbine Electrical & Hydraulic drawings and Manuals
- Ability to conduct training needs analysis for planning the development of training programs and materials
- Collaboration skills to effectively maintain very effective professional working relationship with Vestas internal / external key stakeholders and other departments
- Insight into IT solutions in support of training development
- Innovative mindset to take an existing training setup in new directions
- Project management and planning skills to ensure on-time delivery
- Able assess key data and metrics in support of more effective training planning and development
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
