Responsibilities
- Candidate should have relevant SAP Master Data or Transport Management experience of working with businesses/functions related to transport or Supply Chain set-up from a product-based company or Shared Service Center
- The right candidate will take ownership of the appointed transport master data objects
- Implement changes to Transport master data as approved by the business review process including requests to create, change, extend, block/unblock, activate/deactivate, or otherwise modify transport related master data objects in SAP
- Leadtime/transportation lane master data maintenance in ECC / TM system (Sea, Air, Express, Road)
- Investigate and support problem-solving of delivery and transport quality issue/improvement
- Be a part of the support team towards operation providing support and guidance on transport related issues
- Develop and implement improved methods and systems to maximize department productivity without accuracy loss
- Participation in continuous improvement activities
- Serve as the strategic point of reference for data within business as principal voice of contact for data quality
- Assisting in formulating the specific solutions to address prioritized gaps
- Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
- Developing and improving transport master data processes through tools, metrics to enable decision making
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, productively, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- 5-7 years' experience within a similar role and ideally have systems administration experience, on an ERP system such as SAP TM or related modules such as SD (Sales &
- Distribution), MM (Materials Management), or EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) is distinct advantage
- A good understanding and working knowledge of logistics / supply chain systems and processes is required
- Ability to coordinate transport master data mapping
- Knowledge of Inbound/Outbound material trade will be an added advantage
- Desire to develop, acquire further knowledge and to understand the business
- Great communication skills with fluency in English required
- Flexible regarding work hours due to sites in Europe and US
- Solid systems skills including MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint), favorably including hands-on experience in SAP TM, SAP MDM.
Competencies
- Understanding of TM integration with other SAP modules like SD, MM, and EWM
- Knowledge of tools like SAP Fiori, LSMW, or ABAP debugging is a plus
- Deep understanding of master data objects like business partners, locations, transportation zones, freight units and carriers
- Experience in setting up and managing master data in SAP TM
- Familiarity with tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading (e.g., SAP Data Services, LSMW, or custom programs)
- Great collaborative skillset and ability to coordinate across functions with multiple stakeholders and input providers on a global scale through solid stakeholder
