Overview:
Our client, a respected environmental consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer with a Professional Engineering (PE) License to join their growing team in Orlando, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects focused on petroleum remediation, including soil and groundwater contamination. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of remediation systems and a hands-on approach to tackling environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage petroleum remediation projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Design, implement, and oversee remediation strategies, including air sparging, ozone remediation, dig & haul, and large diameter auger systems.
- Conduct site assessments, develop remediation plans, and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Engage with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and community representatives, to ensure project goals are met.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) License (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in soil and groundwater remediation, specifically with petroleum contamination.
- Expertise in remediation technologies such as air sparging, ozone remediation, and dig & haul.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental laws.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
