The primary function of the EHS Manager will be to lead the Camarillo site in achieving top quartile results for Health and Safety as well as for Environmental programs. EHS Manager at Camarillo is an integral member of the Site Leadership team and is expected to create strategic partnerships with other department leaders to assist in identifying workplace safety and health risks and in implementing control measures that align with Curia Corporate initiatives. The EHS Manager is responsible for knowing, interpreting, and appropriately applying all applicable federal, state, and local laws, statutes and regulations pertaining safety, hazardous waste and industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities
- Ensure site compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to environment, health and safety matters; Develop and implement programs to adapt to changing regulatory expectations, as needed.
- Works with Site Leader and Curia Corporate EHS toward the development of best-in-class EHS Program and sustained safety culture. Strive to be recognized as an industry leader.
- Lead regular site audits and risk assessment activities to ensure company and regulatory compliance in all areas; Track and manage on-time implementation of any corrective action identified during an audit or a risk assessment (FMEA) exercise.
- Develop, implement and maintain site specific EHS programs, such as, Management of Change (MOC), Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Electrical Safety, Hazardous Waste, Emergency Response, Contractor Safety, etc.
- Engage other department leaders to develop and maintain safety training programs in all applicable areas. Assure training is appropriately documented, regularly reviewed to assure effectiveness, compliance and timeliness.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and scientific staff to assure that appropriate process safety considerations are being given, and that practices and procedures are planned and followed during execution. Examples range from providing appropriate PPE to conducting a full safety assessment of the project and/or manufacturing batch record.
- Responsible for the administration of the hazardous waste program to ensure waste is being disposed of according to all local, state, and federal regulations. Responsible for submitting all required reports and fees associated with hazardous waste disposal.
- Guide the incident response team and Site Safety Committee.
- Ensure safety equipment is inspected as required, such as eyewashes, showers, fire extinguishers, etc.
- Ensure completion of regulatory documents, reports and other recordkeeping requirements. Oversee file maintenance and department record keeping.
- Assist with the set up of new employee records and their corresponding site safety orientation.
- Guide and promote safe work performance by enforcing safety policies, implementing safety campaigns, and training managers and employees in safe practices and first aid.
- Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or service. Review, recommend and implement design changes in facilities/equipment to meet expected regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- B.S. in Safety, Environmental Science or related field or appropriate industrial experience
- 5-10 years prior relevant experience.
- Knowledge of WI DNR and environmental regulations.
- Ability to lead and coach others
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience working in Multinational companies
Pay Range: $105,000.00-$131,500.00/year
