Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern - Summer 2025
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated EHS Intern to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a global safety initiative, supporting the development of a unified safety culture across multiple regions. The intern will be responsible for compiling and comparing regulatory safety requirements for Spain, Brazil, and the U.S., and creating a standardized table to prioritize safety practices across our global operations. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in global EHS compliance, data management, and safety program development.
Duration of Internship: May 19th – August 8th
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Research and compile regulatory safety requirements for Spain, Brazil, and the U.S., focusing on health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to renewable energy operations.
- Create a comparative table outlining the safety regulations and requirements for each region, highlighting similarities, differences, and priority areas.
- Assist the EHS team in standardizing and prioritizing safety programs across global locations, ensuring that all operations meet or exceed local regulatory standards.
- Support the development of a Global Safety Program by identifying key areas for alignment and harmonization across regions.
- Collaborate with the EHS team to gather and analyze safety data, helping to develop safety metrics and reporting tools.
- Assist in the preparation of safety training materials, procedures, and documentation to support the company’s safety culture initiatives.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with the global EHS team to provide insights and recommendations based on your research.
- Contribute to promoting a unified Safety Culture, ensuring consistency in safety practices and compliance across the company’s operations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Strong research and data organization skills, with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards (international knowledge is a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
- Passion for renewable energy and an interest in health, safety, and environmental standards.
- This position is located onsite in our Chandler, AZ office.
- Relocation is not available for this role.
- US Person is required for this role.
- Work hours will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
- Juniors preferred as this opportunity has a strong chance of transiting into a full-time/perm role
