DESCRIPTION
A Controls Project Manager works alongside our engineering and operations teams to design, build, program and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions for every application, process, and industry. Our goal is to exceed expectations and ensure our customers receive an exceptional experience at Invio Automation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work the GM Strategic supplier team to ensure all deliverables are met for each unique program or project.
- Create, maintain, and present an open action register (internally and externally).
- Work cross functionally with all departments during all phases of the project.
- Must have experience with the following:
- GM Supply power
- GCCH (EPLAN)
- GCCS
- GRS
- EPP and SEP
- NAX documentation
- Leads the engineering, programming, integration, and commissioning of the following:
- PLC logic, servo motion and HMI displays utilizing applicable software
- Robotic systems (most common robotic brands include Fanuc, Kuka, Motoman, Universal Robotics, etc.)
- Vision systems to perform part recognition, part position, robot guidance, and quality inspections (most common vision systems used are Fanuc 2D and 3D iR Vision, Keyence, Matrox, Photoneo and Cognex)
- Safety circuits and controllers
- Works with the management to create training and development processes for all engineers and technicians.
- Reviews electrical prints and validates components prior or during the controls release process.
- Assembles mechanical and electrical components as needed.
- Must be able to travel within North America.
- Willing to travel a minimum of 15% of work year.
- When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
- All other tasks and projects as assigned by leadership.

Four-year degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical) or a related field is preferred. Minimum (6) years’ experience of working with controls programming or robotics is required. Non-degreed applicants should have at least (10) years of related experience.
