Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in JIRA, Azure DevOps dashboards, Agile methodology, writing user stories, and acting as a liaison between product and engineering teams. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the high quality of software delivery by outlining requirements, collaborating on development strategies, and facilitating communication between different teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in meeting release goals and objectives by actively participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Outline the requirements for a business capability by gathering and analyzing user needs, translating them into actionable user stories, and prioritizing them in the product backlog.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to determine the best strategies for building and supporting requested features and functionalities.
- Work closely with the Product Owner and product development team to ensure alignment with the team’s goals and objectives, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
- Generate various types of documentation, including but not limited to user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system diagrams, to enable the team, organization, and customers.
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of software delivery.
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a business analysis role, preferably in a software development environment.
- Proficiency in JIRA and Azure DevOps dashboards for managing Agile projects and tracking progress.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles, with experience in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and participating in Agile ceremonies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, bridging the gap between business and technical teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing requirements.
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and practices is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal required
Additional Details
- Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
- Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
- Current professional card or registration in Colombia (if applicable): The successful candidate will be required to present their professional card or registration information if the role is deemed to be regulated.
- Onboarding Medical: The successful candidate will be required to undergo an onboarding medical examination prior to commencement of employment, in accordance with Colombian legislation.
