DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to manage the operational aspects of solar farm projects. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of client requirements, conducting site feasibility assessments, overseeing the design, and executing solar systems for ground-mounted projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and interpret client/customer requirements at an operational level.
- Conduct site visits to assess feasibility and recommend the best options for project execution.
- Design solar panel arrangements for rooftop and ground-mounted systems, including selecting supporting electrical equipment, cables, and creating layouts, schematic diagrams, and technical sizing calculations (BOQ/BOM).
- Manage submission and approval of project drawings/documents, coordinate factory inspections, and ensure timely project scheduling.
- Execute end-to-end solar projects (both rooftop and ground-mounted), providing service support and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain familiarity with industry standards (IS) and specifications necessary for the design and execution of solar projects.
- Use PVSYST or similar software for design and testing essential to solar project execution.
- Keep organized files and documents, including current pricing data from suppliers through direct contact, brochures, and price lists.
- Provide weekly or fortnightly status updates on project progress.
- Analyze market data and assist in developing business plans for solar initiatives.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in solar project execution and design.
- Proficiency in PVSYST or similar solar design software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively analyze market data and trends.
