The Global Tax Director leads the tax aspects of our business operations in the US and our tax accounting and reporting, including compliance with Pillar II. As a senior member of SolarEdge’s tax team, the global tax director works in close collaboration with the other parts of Finance and the business to achieve tax optimization and implement SolarEdge’s tax and business strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
US Tax Lead
- Leads all aspects of the Group’s US tax compliance, including Federal and state taxation and transfer pricing aspects, ensuring the Group’s companies are in full and timely compliance, local tax risks are managed, and tax positions optimized
- Leads tax controversy in the US
- Leads the tax aspects of the Group’s Us-related supply chains, including indirect tax planning and compliance
- Acts as a business partner to the business
Tax Accounting & Reporting Lead
- Leads the preparation of the consolidated income tax provision and all aspects of the Group’s public reporting on taxes
- Leads the tax aspects of the company’s global forecasting and budgeting process
- Leads the Pillar II compliance process
- Leads continuous process improvements in the above domains, including automation and the introduction of software tools
- Monitors U.S. GAAP financial reporting developments related to tax accounting and assesses the impact to the Company’s financial reporting
Structure & Financing Lead
- Develops, implements and maintains tax planning relating to the group’s legal structure, including:
- Tax-efficient acquisition structures in M&A transactions and joint ventures
- Integration of acquired companies into the legal structure
- Initiatives to reduce the number of legal entities
- Devises, together with Treasury and Accounting, solutions for intra-group financing and cash management needs of the group
- CPA/Adv.
- Proven experience in Israeli and international tax
- Good understanding of US and international taxation
- 12+ years of work in a multinational company / Big4 accounting firm
- Good listening skills and an open communication style that is suitable for a fast paced, rapid decision-making environment
- Strong team player who generates enthusiasm, collaboration, credibility and commitment.
