JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Division of Administration & Finance. Open to the first 50 applicants or until 12/20/2024 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Major Duties: Leadership and supervision of the park's administrative division, comprised of administration, budget/finance, information technology, and property. Serves as the park's liaision with regional and national level human resource and contracting offices. Provide accurate and reliable advice and guidance to park leadership on all matters relating to administration. Serves as a member of the park's leadership team, responsible for working collaboratively across divisions to establish a culture of respect, inclusiviness, and safety. Creates opportuntieis for staff to engage and develop skill sets. Establishes and maintains effective planning and budget programming for each discipline. Develops and maintains effective inter-divisional and inter-agency partnerships. Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service); with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal civilian employees applying for reinstatement who have had a break in service of less than one year, as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointments.
