JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Division of Visitor and Resources Protection. This is a career-seasonal position. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration. MAJOR DUTIES: Serving as an open ocean lifeguard. Performing emergency medical services as required. Conducting Search and Rescue operations. Patrolling the area on foot, in 4x4 off-road code 3 vehicles or with water vessels. Coordinating coastal rescue operations with local emergency service agencies. Work for these positions occurs at Ocean Beach and Stinson Beach. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis.
