JOB SUMMARY: The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April-June but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2025. MAJOR DUTIES: The Duty location is: Fort Vancouver National Historic Site The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds. Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures. Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets. Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed. Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures, and report discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items. May perform other duties such as painting equipment, masonry work, roofing, welding or assisting higher grade worker with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
