We're looking for a highly motivated individual, to join our fast paced and growing Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist for 12 months. You will be required to accurately raise invoices and receipt their payments in a timely manner. You will be required to deal with queries from both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication is key to this role as well as meeting deadlines.
This role reports directly to our Finance Transactional Manager. Should you be successful in your application you will join a hardworking, fun and exciting team, who will also support your growth and career progression. Octopus is currently changing it’s Finance systems and so being able to adapt to change is a key aspect.

What you'll do - Set up and maintain customer accounts and payment terms
- Raise invoices, debit notes, intercompany invoices and recharges
- Daily receipting of payments received from various Octopus Energy entities
- Respond to, and action any stakeholder queries
- Reviewing and resolve any ageing balances as well as chase any overdue invoices
- Prepare accruals at monthend
- Prepare customer and bank reconciliations ensuring outstanding balances are resolved
- Prepare customer refunds and cancellations payments
- Ad hoc projects and duties as required by the business
- Assist your team members when required
What you'll need- Minimally 2 years Accounts Receivable experience is required
- Confident communication and problem solving skills
- Highly organised and a self-starter
- Basic Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be able to work in a high volume, entrepreneurial environment - speed and accuracy are key!
- Netsuite experience is a bonus but not essential
