Responsibilities: To support and manage the end-to-end broking process; working in partnership with Client Executives, Client Advocates, Central Teams and Leadership in the placement of (re)insurance placements, involving communication with both clients and (re)insurers (in London and international markets) and central and external support teams.
- Proactively collect and analyse data necessary for the preparation of market submissions and presentations.
- Ensure processes are followed as set out within the company’s Operations manual, including:
- Review market security information on carriers
- Creation of Market Reform Contracts, Endorsements and Wordings.
- Checking files to ensure all information is present and accurate
- Ensure contract records are accurately maintained in accordance McGill and Partners Operations Procedure Manual.
- Manage the generation of debit notes and closings with outsource partner via the Opening Memo App and issue evidence of cover, debit notes and closing instructions as required.
- Responsible for first line interactions with outsource providers.
- Coordinate with central and external partners to ensure terms or credit/trade are adhered to.
- Subject matter expert when supporting Client Executives, Client Advocates, Central Teams and Leadership with the resolution of queries received from clients and (re)insurers – liaising with colleagues across the business and clients as necessary.
- Responsible for reviewing MI reports demonstrating efficient governance processes and procedures.
- Advocate McGill and Partners strengths both internally and externally.
- Understand and comply with McGill and Partners regulatory, risk management framework and operational requirements through ensuring processes and policies are fully observed.
- Take a proactive role in mentoring and offer assistance and guidance to colleagues.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong technical (re)insurance knowledge
- Experienced in all aspects of (re)insurance contracts
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships within the organisation and externally
- Ability to prioritise workload, follow through on tasks / projects and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advocate McGill and Partners operational and risk framework and McGill and Partners policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, market systems/tools and McGill and Partners proprietary applications.
