As part of the Asia Pacific Regional Unit of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), the Senior Project Manager is responsible to manage the project across the designated region and if required also to the APAC region.
Lead multiple large-scale wind turbine supplement projects, focusing on managing complex quality, contractual, and financial aspects within timeline. The Senior Project Manager will utilize a blend of critical thinking, strategic planning, and soft skills to ensure project success, manage risks, optimize resources, and foster stakeholder relationship, taking the full Profit and Loss responsibility of the project and report to the Head of PM hub KOR.
Risk, Opportunity, and Issue Management:
- Identify and evaluate all risk factors throughout the project lifecycle using advanced risk measurement tools, devising effective strategies for risk mitigation (elimination, reduction)
- Establish and implement comprehensive issue resolution processes involving all necessary internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and tailored responses.
- Quickly assess situations and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties during crises, demonstrating adaptability and decisiveness.
- Monitor risks continuously across all project phases and escalate critical risks early to senior management to facilitate proactive decision-making.
- Recognize and pursue opportunities for improvement, minimizing non-conformance costs and enhancing project outcomes.
Project Planning, Controlling, and Closure:
- Oversee all planning elements to ensure alignment with organizational milestones and compliance with internal standards.
- Continuously monitor project progress, identify discrepancies, and initiate targeted corrective actions in line with reporting guidelines.
- Define and enforce quality management procedures (audits, inspections, acceptance checks) to meet and exceed defined standards.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings, milestone acceptance processes, and manage the final project handover to contract partners.
Contract, Change, and Claim Management:
- Strategically influence the formulation of contracts, effectively negotiating with stakeholders on change requests and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement strategies for claim mitigation and resolution, utilizing negotiation skills to protect project interests.
- Lead the project team in identifying changes, assessing claims, and coordinating with legal experts for contract review and compliance.
- Inform customers, management, and the project team of deviations early, using strong communication skills to manage expectations and minimize impacts.
Leadership and Communication:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the project team, establishing clear objectives, delegating authority, and promoting a collaborative team environment.
- Foster open communication with stakeholders and within the team to align expectations and enhance project delivery.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions, actively seek input from team members, and support professional development through coaching, showcasing emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Leading by examples, provide inspirational leadership, understanding the impact of the role on others and adjusting approach accordingly.

- Ensure regular financial monitoring, coordinating with Finance for comprehensive reporting and budget control, using analytical skills for informed decision-making.

Customer Management:

Bidding Support:
- Assist in project initiation and sales phases, analyzing customer requirements and evaluating technical feasibility for project proposals.
- Ensure integration of risk assessments, financial efficiency, and compliance into bid strategies, demonstrating strategic foresight.

7+ years of project management experience in wind energy, construction, or similar industries, preferably OEM side..
Proven expertise in risk management, negotiation, quality control, and financial oversight.
Excellent time management skills in order to manage complexed multiple projects with team.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office/SharePoint
Excellent communication skills in English as well as Korean is essential, both verbally and written.
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP,IPMA) and knowledge of wind industry standards preferred.
Able to travel at least 50% of the time to the project countries or site.
Degree or Master Qualification in relevant field.
