Manage South Korea HSE Wind Power Business and coodinate with levels of managers in Orgnization (SGRE/SE WP) regarding country business related HSE scope.
* Engage with and promote the EHS Culture and support local engagement and alignment to the overall EHS strategic objectives.
* Full and effective implementation of the company’s quality health, safety & environmental management systems.
* Proactive monitoring, hazard identification and facilitating the implementation of effective control measures including contractors'
* Partnering with operations management and employees to provide advice and guidance on legislation, standards and local expectations / guidelines.
* Perform point of work visits to engage with site technicians, perform HSE inspections / quality audits and provide coaching & development and on site hands guide and trainings including contractor management
* Communication and collaboration with other EQS team members across the business to share learning and develop best practice.
* Create, develop and assist with delivery of HSE inductions and training. Provide assistance in the completion and regular review of risk assessments.
* Ensure all accidents, incident, and near misses are recorded, reported and investigated in accordance with company procedures and all corrective actions are identified, implemented, monitored and reviewed.
* Ensure HSE event statistics and KPI’s are compiled, analyzed for trends, acted upon locally and shared throughout the business as necessary development of lessons learned and issuance of safety alerts where necessary.
* Ensure all relevant health, safety and environmental records (e.g. records of thorough examination, risk assessments, training records etc.) are kept, maintained and updated as and when necessary.
* Undertake any reasonable activity that assists the business and the fulfilment of HSE related objectives.
* Facilitate and support #HomeSafe and customer initiative, i.e. ZeroHarm, forums / workshops and develop a continual cultural improvement program.
Regarding Business level compliance:
1) Defining/ Monitoring controls required for Country MD to monitor compliance with legal EHS requirements for wind power business and act as safety representative required by national law/ regulation
2) Coordinate the appointment/nomination of environment, health and safety specialist(s) /advisor(s)/support(s) according to local legislation / regulation
3) Coordinate election/nomination rounds of safety representatives and committees. Monitoring of continuing compliance (in case of change in employer's or workers' representatives) .
4) Keep track on training and competency status of EHS specialists and appointed/nominated representatives (employer and worker)
5) Drive, manage and maintain the implementation of country health& wellbeing programs and initiatives include not limited to coordination of Doctors, nurses according to legislation/ Occupational health monitoring according to legislation and depending on activities/ Vaccination programs
6) Office set-up compliant / place assessment incl risks, ergonomics, specific equipment / with local legislation/ Emergency response plans and drills
7) Guide Ops and Develop reports to internal/ external stakeholders (Environment/ safety& Occupational health) and distribute reports regularly as per legal requirement (government/ regulator/ agency)
8) Verification that applicable Risk Assessments are available updated and in line with regulatory requirements.
9) Advising travel safety wherever necessary
