What outcomes will you achieve?
The Team Leader, Sustainable Communities builds sustainable communities for Bridge Housing tenants through the implementation of programs and strategies that support tenant engagement, participation and connection, maximise and optimise community resources, services and activities to ensure Bridge Housing tenants receive wraparound services that enhance our core housing management functions.

What does the day to day include?
- Community & Tenant Engagement: Plan, direct, and evaluate community engagement strategies aligned with Bridge Housing’s values and strategic goals.
- Program Implementation: Launch and manage community-building initiatives that align with tenant and community priorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance community and tenant programs, driving ongoing improvements.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide policy advice, data analysis, and reporting to leadership on engagement and participation efforts.
- Budget Management: Ensure community programs are aligned with Bridge Housing's financial targets through effective budgeting monitoring.
- Increase Engagement: Use effective communication strategies to boost tenant and community involvement in programs.
- Service Quality: Facilitate tenant input to recommend service improvements and enhance quality delivery.
- Leadership & Staff Development: Support culture and performance improvements to attract and retain high-quality staff and develop employee skills.
- Industry Leadership: Raise the profile of Bridge Housing by participating in networks, forums, and partnerships within the community housing sector.
Who are we looking for?
- A relevant tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience
- Significant experience of working in the community services sector establishing and managing high performing and successful community engagement programs to deliver community building outcomes.
- Experience within with the housing sector is desirable, as is knowledge of welfare and other relevant government policies
- Experience in Community Development or Partnership roles
- Experience in managing and leading high performing teams
- Valid driver’s license is required

This role is graded as a Level 6 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award. Bridge Housing currently offers above-award remuneration, plus NFP salary packaging, plus superannuation.
This role is paid at a base salary of $117,345 - $122,527, plus salary packaging and superannuation. In real terms, this means $141,006.14 - $146,783.71 per annum.
