Commissioning Manager
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and overseeing the commissioning process of the entire Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.
This includes planning the testing and verifying the installation, functionality, and performance of the battery energy storage system facility. The commissioning manager works closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the BESS is operating optimally and meets all performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
-Developing and implementing detailed commissioning plans and procedures for the BESS project.
-Attend, and in some cases lead, regular meetings as required with Fluence, subcontractors, the client, TNSP, AEMO and other key stakeholders. Be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all commissioning and testing matters.
-Plan the commissioning and pre-planning work breakdown structure (WBS) with Project Management. Provide regular timely updates against that schedule.
-Providing technical support and expertise to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
-The commissioning manager ensures that the commissioning process is carried out safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
-Take full ownership in leading and managing a team of technicians and engineers during the commissioning process.
-Demonstrate compliance with customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and system specifications by performing system integration tests and troubleshooting to ensure the proper installation and operation of the BESS.
-Coordinating with project managers and contractors to ensure that all commissioning and testing activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
-Preparing reports and documentation to support project commissioning activities, including creating technical documentation and quality artifacts including test results, issues encountered, and resolutions (full use of Fluence NCR system).
-Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including project owners, regulators, and vendors – including AEMO and the TNSP.
-Provide internal, sub-contractor and client training as required.
