Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an Environmental Scientist or Planner to join our Environment & Community team in Newcastle or any of our offices in northern New South Wales.
Our team is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for major projects, including renewable energy, transport, water and other various environmental projects. We pride ourselves on our strong client relationships and our commitment to environmental stewardship. You will primarily focus on Environmental Impact Assessments, but will also be involved in environmental planning, statutory approvals, and applications for environmental permits.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- The ability to work on landmark projects supporting the region, NSW and Australia energy transition such as hydrogen hubs and clean energy precincts
- Collaborating on major projects, including renewable energy projects, roads, and water projects for public and private sector clients
- Designing, coordination and delivery of environmental impact assessment studies and environmental management plans
- Conducting environmental monitoring and undertaking site inspections, and preparing technical reports
What you will bring to the team:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar consulting or government role.
- A sound understanding of environmental issues and legislation.
- Proven experience in the preparation of environmental impact assessments.
- Experience in developing and implementing environmental management plans or environmental management systems.
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
