DescriptionThe CSR Specialist will support the India CSR and Communications Lead and India Sustainability Committee in developing and executing CSR programs and employee volunteering initiatives in India. The role will include providing support and counsel on grant program workflow and assist with statutory and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
Project onboarding and implementation:
• Provide counsel on identifying and selecting projects and credible NGO partners as per CSR policy and budget
• Work closely with India Sustainability Committee and agreed NGO partners in administering Garrett’s CSR grant program activities and optimize work-flow for evaluation of fund requests with appropriate internal committees and leaders
• Research best practices in corporate grant management and actively consult with team members and management as needed to formulate, recommend and implement solutions aligned with Garrett’s Sustainability mission
Project monitoring and evaluation:
• In coordination with India Communications & CSR Lead, administer Garrett India’s CSR budget, providing reports of accountability from respective partners based on the budget allocations
- Regular site visits with active programs to monitor progress and address gaps
• Assist with the production of materials and presentations for the India and Global Sustainability Committee meetings, and for communications (internal and external) as required.
Regulatory and compliance reporting:
• Provide data for regulatory and finance reporting. Assist in analysis and reconciliation as required
• Assist in the development of efficient reporting capabilities to support a comprehensive and accurate picture of Garrett’s sustainability and community initiatives in India. Support approaches that enable the company to measure change delivered by its CSR programs.
Employee volunteering:
• Assist with the production and execution of engaging employee volunteering programs and increase employee participation in volunteering activities and events .
Education :Master's Degree in Social Work or an equivalent
Experience :5-7 years
• Ground experience of having worked across Garrett’s thematic CSR areas: Health, Education, Environment and Humanitarian Relief
• Analytical, organised and focused on details and ability to identify trends and gaps
• Excellent project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build teamwork and trust.
• Positive attitude and willingness to embrace change.
• Good writing and editing skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
