The Role:
As a
Head of Business Development, you will spearhead the growth of their solar division, identifying new market opportunities and forging strategic partnerships. You will play a pivotal role in shaping their growth strategy, driving sales, and expanding their footprint in the solar energy market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Design and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth in our solar energy offerings across specific regions/markets.
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities, from utility-scale projects to commercial and industrial solar solutions.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utility companies, investors, and corporate clients.
- Sales Leadership: Lead a high-performing sales team, setting ambitious targets and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
- Project Development: Collaborate with the technical, finance, and operations teams to create competitive project proposals that meet clients' needs and maximize profitability.
- Market Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to ensure we remain a leader in the solar sector.
- Revenue Growth: Take ownership of revenue targets, driving profitable growth and contributing to the overall success of the company.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Track Record: 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the solar or broader renewable energy industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the solar energy market, including regulatory frameworks, project financing, and emerging technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience leading and growing sales or business development teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to think big and develop long-term strategies while executing tactically to achieve immediate goals.
