Our Digital Services and Software team is building upon our leading DCIM solutions. Our team is responsible for providing an efficient way for organizations to monitor their company-wide multi-vendor physical infrastructure: power, cooling, security, and environment. EcoStruxure IT Data Center Expert offers features that enable quick assessment and resolution of critical infrastructure events, a centralized repository of vital infrastructure data, and an open and flexible architecture that can expand with changing business needs. Solving customer problems that address real pain points is the focus of what we do within engineering. This position is for a back-end developer working as part of a full stack team on EcoStruxure IT Data Center Expert. You will be primarily focused on expanding existing functionality, tackling customer issues, addressing security vulnerabilities, and reducing technical debt. Ideal candidates have experience developing Linux-based solutions written primarily in Java and can design and implement end to end solutions by working with fellow developers. If you enjoy working on small teams to help achieve larger goals to help our customers, then please consider this role.
What will you do?
Design and develop new features and improvements to our product.
Maintain and improve existing features over time.
Build reusable code and libraries that others can leverage.
Collaborate with other team members on larger efforts and cross-cutting technical concerns.
Ensure the technical feasibility of designs made by teammates, either in design or code reviews.
Optimize code for speed and scale.
Address bugs and security issues.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Current Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with Java.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or RHEL derivative distributions.
Experience with Git version control systems.
Demonstrated ability to write readable and maintainable code with past projects.
Demonstrated understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.).
Ability to review unfamiliar code, recognize problems, and suggest solutions.
Demonstrates a strong command of the tools and technologies used on past projects.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of software development principles and best practices.
Ability to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
