JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of the Office of Science - Pacific Northwest Site Office, Department of Energy. As an Operations Division Director, you will be providing leadership, supervision, and direction of the team focused on protecting employees, public & environment, and nuclear & operations assurance. Division responsibilities include environmental, safety, and health (ES&H); quality, facility and nuclear safety; emergency preparedness; tribal, and facility representatives. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Supervisory General Engineer/Physical Scientist, you will: Identify Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) and security risks, implement controls, in keeping authorities informed for risk acceptance. Oversee safety and operations of nuclear, chemical, and biological facilities to prevent hazards and risks. Maintain contact with all stakeholders in providing information, resolve problems, establish policy, and review progress/activities. Provide reliable engineering input and analyses with addressing complex problems requiring technical insights. Provide feedback to program customers regarding the status of programs, projects, and site activities.
