JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of the Hanford Field Office formally known as Department of Energy. As a Contract Specialist, you will provide business management administration and contract oversight for the Hanford Site. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Contract Specialist, you will: Serve as a senior acquisition advisor to DOE program offices. Conduct solicitation analysis, negotiation, awarding and administration of groups of contracts, such as definite quantity, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery, multi-year, option year, direct vendor supply, and Federal Supply Schedules. Review and interprets high level contracting policy and directives, drafts policy and standard operating procedures, and provides guidance and assistance to DOE contracting personnel on implementing policy for the collection and reporting of data to meet contracting metrics. Ensure compliance with the provisions of laws, regulations, and policies. Provide expertise in life cycle acquisition by furnishing advisory, planning, and compliance services and develops acquisition streamlining procedures for implementation on projects or programs.
