Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Office Chief Central Region Services--Admin Support Services, the Environmental Workload/Contract Branch Chief shall be responsible for overall coordination of project, resource, and Architectural & Engineering (A&E) contract management for the Environmental Divisions located within the Central Region. This position is part of a Regional setting so the Incumbent may be assigned projects located in any of the Central Region districts. Occasional travel and overnight stays will be required. A valid California driver's license is desired.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Environmental Planner exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. - Accounting, auditing, personnel, and budgeting.
- Principles and practices of employee supervision, development and training and progressive discipline processes. Prefer candidate with paid supervision experience.
- Change management.
- Project delivery including process.
- Knowledge of Info Advantage required. Prefer candidate with knowledge of Caltrans Accounting system.
