Due to our increased business needs, Handex is seeking to add a highly motivated Project Manager for our Remediation and Environmental Team.
This role will involve extensive project management on active remediation systems for both water discharge and air emissions at various client and superfund sites throughout New Jersey. Position is hybrid (office/client sites/remote). Our NJ office is located in Jackson, NJ.

What will be my responsibilities and objectives:
· Engagement leader to schedule and coordinate work activities with appropriate colleagues for wastewater and air emission remediation sites which include: quality control, waste disposal, field sampling, construction, permitting and health & safety.
· Point of contact to oversee locations and communicate and interface with management, field techs, scientist, clients and NJDEP.
· Provide guidance and oversight during project execution to ensure deadlines are met.
· Compose and review technical reports to ensure accuracy, clarity and timely submittal.
· Keep abreast as subject matter expert of NJDEP regulations, SOP’s, and guidelines to ensure all HCR activities are in compliance and standards are met for permitting.
· Track project financial status and coordinate monthly client invoicing.
· Collaborate with health and safety officer as needed.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to engagement teams as needed and provide feedback to management.

Requirements and skills needed for success:
· College degree in environmental sciences, chemistry or engineering.
· 3+ years of successful project management experience in servicing active remediation systems for both water discharge and air emissions.
· Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to compose special provisions and permits for submission.
· Proven record of supervising or engagement lead overseeing and motivating teams to successfully complete projects.
· Knowledge of applicable federal, NJ state, county, local regulations, rules, SOP’s, guidelines, etc.
· Highly proficient technical skills with a variety of software tools including Microsoft Office and Timberline. AutoCad a plus.
· Highly organized, detail oriented and a team player who is collaborative and cooperative with internal and external customers.
· Solid communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required to interface with HCR management/employees as well as clients and regulators (comfortable in person, via phone and/or via electronic communications) a must.
· Valid driver’s license in good standing.
· Ability to pass background checks: criminal/physical/drug/alcohol/DMV required.
