They will undertake various analytics, including machine learning-based modeling, to assess how extreme heat episodes have impacted health outcome variables in cities. They will develop heat-health thresholds to inform heat action plans in cities and support in developing capacity building modules for health authorities. Additionally, the candidate will assist the core research team primarily with data mining, data analysis, and literature review.
The ideal candidate should possess an educational background in public health, medicine, epidemiology, environmental health, climate sciences, or other related fields. They should also have working experience with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and programming languages like Python, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other statistical tools.
