Senior Environment & Energy (E&E) Specialist - Dutch required
Job Summary
At Equinix, there is a job opening for a Senior Environment & Energy (E&E) Specialist in the Compliance team. As a Senior Specialist, you will have a central role within the organization and will be valued for your expertise, proactive communication and project management skills. You will represent the Compliance department and support the management of the organisation at a strategic and tactical level. Ownership, being a self-starter, having a helicopter view, and a strong problem-solving ability is crucial in this role. You will work closely with your colleagues in Compliance (Quality, Information Security, Business Continuity, Health & Safety) and in the area of Energy Management and Sustainability.
Responsibilities
Provide advice and project-based implementation of E&E policies, processes, and procedures
Ensure the effectiveness of the E&E management system (through risk assessments, audits, inspections, and investigations)
Conduct environmental risk assessments at data center locations
Facilitate compliance audits of the E&E management system
Provide periodic (management) reporting on the level of control, risks, incidents, and improvements
Collaborate internationally, provide support, and share knowledge with the Global/EMEA Compliance and Sustainability pillar
Supporting facility operators on challenges and issues
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Communicating with authorities
Informing and educating employees
Prepare and review regulatory reports and documentation
Act as the officer for emission control, environmental management, waste, and hazardous materials
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
Knowledge of environment & energy regulations and standards (Omgevingswet, Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), etc)
Experience with management systems according to ISO14001 and ISO50001
Experience with environmental permits and sustainability initiatives.
Excellent social skills (communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to inspire)
Excellent written and verbal skills and English
Excellent project management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
