This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a mid-level Consultant for our Atlanta, GA area offices. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Conduct activities such as Phase I environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, boring and well installation, receptor surveys, environmental compliance, safety, and project management for commercial and industrial clients.
- Assist in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of geologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data obtained during field investigations.
- Develop remedial strategies and implement remedial plan which would include various remedial technologies.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, and recommendations to prevent, control, restore, or clean-up chemical and environmental problems and contamination.
- Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or closely related disciplines.
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and/or record-keeping requirements associated with Brownfield, CERCLA, Clean Water Act and RCRA properties
- Experience conducting and project managing soil and groundwater investigations and remediation actions.
- Experience writing technical reports and associated tables, figures, and appendices.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.
- Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications preferred (PE, PG, CHMM, etc. )
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
