We are looking for Communications and Sustainability Manager who reports to the External Affairs Director and will lead the development and execution of Communications Strategies and Sustainability Projects. The Manager will play a key role in maintaining the company’s public image while enhancing our environmental and social commitments.
Main responsibilities include:
- Create and execute overall media strategy and corresponding action plans, in cooperation with local, regional and global External Affairs and Communications team members,
- Craft compelling narratives that communicate the company’s values to various internal and external audiences,
- Manage the company’s public relations efforts in line with tobacco control legislation, including writing press releases, managing media inquiries
- Develop, implement and coordinate sustainability initiatives aligned with company’s long term business objectives
- Work across functions to develop and execute omni-channel communication campaigns,
- Ensure alignment of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts with Company strategies,
- Build and manage relationships with Key Media Stakeholders ensuring open and transparent communications,
- Represent the Company as a spokesperson by being fully aware of corporate positions.
What are we looking for?
- Hold a university degree in communications/public relations/business management
- Have 10 + years of experience in communications
- Have strong understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and reporting standards.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish with a demonstrated ability to craft clear and compelling messages to diverse audiences.
- Social and digital media understanding
- Experience working with cross functional and global/regional teams
- Have solid understanding of project management principles and proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Experience in regulated industries and knowledge on sustainability challenges is a plus.
