Key job responsibilities
As Senior Product Manager Carbon, you will be responsible for designing and executing strategies to reduce our carbon footprint throughout the supply chain, with a focus on carbon free energy and energy efficiency, aiding in our path to net-zero. You will partner closely with teams across Amazon Private Brands in Softlines, Hardlines and Consumables, as well as with the Worldwide Sustainability teams, other Amazon business units tech teams and external partners.
The successful candidate for this role will be able to:
- Possess a deep understanding of emissions drivers and drive programs to reduce at scale
- Develop sustainable solutions that are sensitive to the needs of the private brands business.
- Act as key representative of Sustainability needs to our leadership, tech teams and WW Sustainability.
- Influence multiple cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
- Manage key external relationships to support decarbonisation.
- Role model process improvement/efficiency drives across teams.
- Build, maintain and improve mechanisms, processes, standards and playbooks to enable execution of important deliverables.
- Deep dive and root cause ambiguous and undefined business processes.
- Highlight and appropriately escalate any bottlenecks that block progress of the team while proposing potential solutions.

We do this by 1) setting a clear strategy and priorities; 2) integrating our standards, metrics, and strategy into APB's operations; 3) educating and inspiring our customers; 4) providing science-based consultation to remove blockers; 5) generating brand value by communicating our progress, and 6) collaborating to generate systems-level change.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
- Experience with product cycles of 6+ months
- Experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
- Experience in environmental sustainability, with understanding of carbon foot-printing and abatement strategies
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience in supply chain renewable energy procurement (PPA, REC, On-site solar)
