Position Summary:
The Collections Representative is responsible for collaborating with existing customers on solutions for bringing their delinquent account up to date. The Collections Representative will have high level of interaction with external customers, Sales and Customer Service. This is an in-person position in Enfield, CT and remote work arrangements are unavailable for this role.
Your Role:
- Maintained continuous follow up with customers to obtain timely payment.
- Resolve undistributed cash.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for credit memos, refunds, and account adjustments.
- Complete and provide account reconciliations.
- Facilitate across departments on behalf of the customer for disputed invoices.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Billing and Accounts Receivable to resolve invoice disputes or other payment issues and have services reinstated.
- Keep details collection within the system.
- Monitor and maintain orders on hold throughout each day.
- Perform final steps to write off accounts to bad debt.
- Understand and ensure compliance with internal procedures and controls.
- Communicate effectively within the team and with internal and external customers, which includes Sales, Customer Services, Dispatch, Billing, Account Receivable and Management.
- Participate in back up coverage for residential collections and when others are out of the office.
- Prepare weekly collection report for Credit Manager.
- Involvement in departmental initiatives, projects, or cross-functional training.
- Support management and company requests as needed.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.

- Capable of managing all the daily departmental activities with attention to details including timely collection of receivables.
- Strong initiative and the ability to manage high volumes and multiple tasks while also managing interruptions and working under pressure.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of collections, transactions, and processes.
Desired Requirements:
- Associate degree or continued college work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office such as Teams, Outlooks, Excel, and Word, etc.
