As a Renewable Energy Business Analyst, you will own the analysis of electricity market developments across APAC and their implications on Amazon’s renewable energy procurement strategy. You will develop and implement mechanisms to track team goals and assist procurement managers with deal origination.
Key job responsibilities
Amazon is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS APJC Energy Team. In this role, you will own the analysis of electricity market developments across APAC and their implications on Amazon’s renewable energy procurement strategy. You will develop and implement mechanisms to track team goals and assist procurement managers with deal origination. The optimal candidate will have a result orientated approach, analytical skill set, and strong financial acumen.
Key responsibilities include -
- Analyze and evaluate impact of energy policy changes on Amazon’s renewable energy procurement strategy in APAC
- Evaluate, recommend and manage energy consultants who we work with, including running periodic RFPs
- Develop and implement mechanisms to track the team’s goals and recommend solutions to remove blockers, if any
- Assist procurement managers in deal origination

- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Energy/Engineering/Economics/Business/Math or similar field
- 2+ years of experience working in the renewable energy industry in APAC
- Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) in Energy/Engineering/Economics/Business/Math or similar field
- 5+ years of experience in APAC energy markets, energy trading, renewable energy contract negotiations, energy regulations, renewable energy project development or energy generation technologies
- Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as utilities, energy regulators, renewable project developers, project investors, and renewable OEMs
