This is a 3rd shift position 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Sunday - Thursday
Overtime as need dictates
You will work on
- Work from schedules, production orders, prints and specifications. Verify alloy and length of billet and set heater controls to proper specifications.
- Operation of the press with require multifunction operation of multiple control panels in sequence to ensure proper operation.
- Make adjustments to press and peripheral equipment to set-up product layout guides and tooling and set and adjust parameters to ensure the material meets customers specs.
- Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required or directed to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. Ensure safe operating conditions within area of responsibility.
- Assist in the process examination and quality documentation and determine causes for problems, root cause analysis and recommend solutions follow up to help establish product & customer issues.
- Assist in Press Equipment validations, safety, and quality audits.
- Able to work in a non-air-conditioned shop environment. Hot in the Summer, cold in the Winter

Your qualifications and skills
- Certified Production Technician
- Strong understanding of mechanical components
- LEAN manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of HSE regulations
- Knowledge of basic material sciences, metallurgy, aluminum.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions and the ability to use a calculator.
- Ability to use measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers and heat probes, where interpretation is required.
- Basic proficiency in computers.
