The Role
We are looking for a diligent and highly motivated Tax Coordinator to join the growing Cypress tax department. This position will provide support to Tax team members and actively collaborate with multiple departments. The ideal candidate is a team player who has experience in time management with excellent organizational skills, along with expert level competency in MS Office Suite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain Receiving Log for all Incoming mails and filing sourcing process
- Maintain Payment Log and coordinate with other departments on all tax related payments
- Lead monthly/annual vendor review and approval process along with 1099 reporting
- Assist with monthly excise tax and sales & use tax filings and payments
- Assist with state exemption filing and tracking
- Assist with annual personal property tax filing
- Perform other duties as requested by the management
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 3 plus years’ experience in a supporting administrative role
- BS in accounting (or related major) preferred but not required
- Must be detail oriented, resourceful and organized
- Ability to multi-task and work in tight frames and deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Superior interpersonal abilities and a team player. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
- Must be a self-starter who handles multiple projects with competing priorities with minimum supervision
Locations: This position would be based in Santa Monica, CA on a hybrid schedule
Compensation: The salary range for the position is $55,000- 80,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
