JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, in the Division of Resource Management and Science. TERM positions do not convey permanent status in the Federal service and will be for a period not to exceed 13 months, with possible extensions up to a total of 4 years without further competition. MAJOR DUTIES: As a professional historical landscape architect, you specialize in the identification, documentation, planning and preservation of cultural landscapes and other associated properties. Duties include: Perform landscape architectural duties associated with review, design, treatment, and monitoring of historic and prehistoric cultural landscapes. Participate in National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 consultation and compliance activities as they relate to cultural landscapes and historic districts. Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams at the park level to promote cultural resource and historic preservation stewardship goals and objectives; including review and preparation of NRHP nominations.
