JOB SUMMARY: You will act as Technical Project Officer working with or administering technical assistance to Indian Tribes, including Alaska Native Regional Corporations and Village Corporations, Intertribal Organizations, and Tribal Energy Development Organizations. You will oversee a diverse tribal energy project portfolio or act as a technical expert on clean energy planning, energy efficiency audits, resource assessments, building codes and utility formation. MAJOR DUTIES: As an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Physical Scientist, you may: Act as a general engineer or physical scientist, overseeing a number of technically complex tribal clean energy projects or administer technical assistance relative to energy development, efficiency, and use on tribal lands. Lead efforts and conduct studies and analyses that will advance energy initiatives for American Indian or Alaskan Native tribal governments and tribal organizations. Act as a technical resource to Indian Tribes and tribal organizations, providing advice on project planning, project execution, and potential resources for clean energy development. Mentor other staff members, including, but not limited to, providing training, reviewing work products, providing feedback, and acting as an informational resource.
