JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of the Office of Science - Headquarters, Consolidated Service Center, Office of Financial Services. As an Accountant, you will be reviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations on contractor practices, and conducting desk reviews; analyzing and reconciliating of financial data; reviewing various cost proposals, and evaluating financial transaction. MAJOR DUTIES: As an Accountant, you will: Analyze and recommend improvements on contractor practices while focusing on Cost Accounting Standards coverage and costs principles. Review cost proposals for allowability, allocability, and reasonableness; evaluate the offeror's proposed total costs. Conduct desk reviews confirming indirect rates claimed are in accordance with allowable cost principles. Conduct financial analysis and reconciliation at classified and non-classified locations. Assess and implement financial transactions involving numerical or descriptive data associated with classified or secret information.
