JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in the USDA, Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC), NRCS, in the National Water Management Center (NWMC). The Civil Engineer (Design) works as a part of a multidisciplinary team with other SME's to perform the planning and design of complex projects across the US and its territories and will contribute to the development of engineering plans, specification, and reports as a subject matter expert for civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering activities. MAJOR DUTIES: Lead or support the preparation of detailed designs and specifications for engineering structures to be built, including structures on all watershed projects, stream stabilization, wetland restoration, or stream restoration.
