The Customer Advocate Engineer is responsible for evaluating escalated customer inquiries by understanding customer applications and providing potential solutions. As a member of the Customer Satisfaction and Quality team for Power Products in North America, the Customer Advocate Engineer will support driving quality initiatives to improve the customer’s experience with Schneider Electric products specifically for the Power Products product offering. This includes driving proactive and reactive improvements in the design and manufacturing of products.

What do you get to do in this position?
· Provide fast and effective resolution of customer issues by leveraging technical expertise and analysis.
· Provide customer resolution for Power Products product offers to restore customer application and confidence in Schneider Electric products.
· Technical support team member on the cross-functional team on problem-solving, root cause analysis, and effective corrective actions for Power Products product offers.
· Transfer field experience to training or advice to manufacturing sites, Research & Development, and other members of the Customer Satisfaction & Quality community to drive product evolution and improve customer experience.
Responsibilities:
· Assess the product application issues reported by the customer, by return analysis, on-site or remote analysis with high efficiency.
· Provide technical reports to necessary stakeholders (customer, internal functions) on time with professional diagnosis and suggestion.
· Provide professional advice to manufacturing sites, Sales, Services, and/or Marketing to improve the competency of key stakeholders.
· Knowledge sharing & Continuous Improvement with other Technical Expert Leaders.
· Work with cross-functional teams to solve customer installation issues or determine application solutions.
· Support the product quality improvement for manufacturing site processes and design/application.
· Support manufacturing sites where needed, i.e. – customer audit/visit, issue diagnosis, etc.

This job might be for you if:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 5 years of product/project engineering experience with proven success in customer interaction.
· Expertise/knowledge in electrical distribution equipment
· Working knowledge of manufacturing process, standards, and their application.
· 8D Methodology hands-on experience is a plus.
· Strong ability to influence with a global mindset.
· Skilled in common electrical test instruments (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, dielectric tester, u-ohm meter, programable power source, etc.).
· Working knowledge of industrial analysis and test methods (X-ray, EDS, CT, infrared imaging).
