Program Associate – Communication and Event Management

Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport

About your role:
You will work with the WRI India communications, accounts, and budget team to manage outreach programs. You will also liaison with vendors, hotels, hospitality vendors and partners, maintain and standardize contracts and budgets, manage hotel bookings, and manage the production of communication and outreach material.
The selected candidate will report to the City Communications Lead and must have experience in basic project management, organizing and managing on ground and virtual events, and coordinating with, and managing, diverse partners including vendors.
How your day will unfold:
- Manage communication collaterals for different types and scale of events.
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics management including facilitating travel and accommodation arrangements for invitees.
- Guide communication between WRI India and external vendors, maintaining relationships.
- Facilitate internal coordination within WRI India’s different functions and maintain project management sheets, checklists and trackers.
- Document insights from events and identify areas for improvement to enhance future events.
- Facilitate coordination between different partners and partners.
- Write content for event outreach – i.e., emailers and social media
Qualifications and Requirements we seek:
- Education: Post-graduate with a communications/management background.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in related fields
- Strong interpersonal skills, an analytical approach
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Must be highly process oriented with an eye for detail.
- Ability to self-govern and manage time independently.
- Excellent English writing skills
- Knowledge of any other Indian language a plus
- Comfort with quantitative data/analysis and MS Excel
- Proficiency in documentation with expertise in MS Word and PowerPoint
- Editing/proofing and writing and Canva knowledge will be an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits: 8,00,000 to 9,00,000INRCTC Per annum
Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
