We are currently searching for an Environmental Division Manager to join our team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises, plans, reviews, and oversees the work of a staff subordinate environmental inspectors and gives assistance and advice on difficult and unusual problems.
- Responds to complaints of violations of County environmental codes and ordinances and reviews inspections on complaints.
- Assures all environmental codes are enforced and for the interpretation of the ordinances.
- Coordinates activities with the Health Department on disease monitoring, screening, and public education.
- Provides technical advice to other divisions regarding any citations, ordinances, and procedures.
- Creating effective and efficient project schedules.
- Ensure Project schedules and timelines are being met by production.
- Take lead for the development of the schedule with all vendors, suppliers, coding agencies, and management team.
- Coordinates between project management, estimating, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and client to ensure work complies with contract and company quality standards.
- Create, maintain, and monitor a look ahead schedule.
- Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document errors and omissions, and problem solving.
- Determine manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
- Takes lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and efficiency of company employees in the field to ensure project plans and schedules are followed and project is executed effectively.
- Record jobsite activities and updates in Procore software.
- Handles potential problems, work interference, or schedule difficulties, while assisting in circumventing and resolving conflicts.
- Creates safety awareness throughout the job site and maintains OSHA required records.
- Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of principles and procedures of public environmental management programs.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques relevant to application of federal, state, and local environmental laws, ordinances, and policies.
- Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
- Collaborate on long & short-term plans for the department’s growth.
- Act as a strategic partner on the leadership team.
- Organized and able to multitask.
- Responsible for interviewing, training, coaching, and disciplining.
- Some experience working with insurance adjusters and property management companies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Has at least seven years or more of professional experience in environmental work which includes at least two years of supervisor/ or manager experience.
- Has an associate degree with major coursework in physical, natural, biological science, environmental engineering, or a related field and six years of experience as described above.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be able to work in difficult or sensitive situations.
- Exhibit a sense of urgency with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
- Must be flexible and open to a constantly changing work environment.
- Must pass drug screening, background check, and an MVR.
Salary:
The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $170,000 per year.
Salary is to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and location where job is performed.
