The Environment, Health, & Safety Specialist will have a leadership presence on the production floor and throughout all Crestron buildings. The ideal candidate will influence and engage employees in all aspects of health and safety. This candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of corporate EHS programs, policies, and procedures to foster the safety and well-being of all Crestron personnel.
The ideal candidate must have self-motivation qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
• Inspect company facilities to detect existing or potential safety and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Assist with creating new EHS programs, including but not limited to SOP’s and JSA’s as needed.
• Assist in developing and conducting safety & health training to personnel in an effective manner.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses to determine causes and recommend, produce, and implement preventive measures to reduce or eliminate hazards.
• Understand the operation’s safety & health vision and take action to help achieve the vision while demonstrating safe work practices and leading by example.
• Work closely with Engineering departments on product and fixture development ensuring proper safety measures are in place.
• Assist in maintaining all emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2-3 years in an Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) related field or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry is required and experience with navigating OSHA regulations is a plus.
• Ability to analyze incident data, new processes, and machinery for potential concerns and conduct job safety analyses when required.
• Comfortable facilitating training programs to small and large groups of employees.
• Prior experience working in the manufacturing industry is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
• Prior experience working in a team environment is a plus
• Effective written and verbal communication is a must.
• Strong planning, organization and follow up skills.

- Occasional 6pm training
• 10% travel required.
Per applicable state requirements the pay range for this position ($58,000-$76,000) reflects the hiring range for candidates performing the role. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
