BESIX Environment is the independent entity within BESIX Group focusing on the development, engineering, construction, startup & commissioning and O&M of projects within the field of water and sustainable energy & hydrogen infrastructure.
BESIX Environment is within these projects in charge of the process and MEICA scope. Projects vary from waste water treatment & water reuse plants for municipal or industrial clients including technologies for sludge treatment and biogas treatment, to industrial applications for process water (process, cooling water, demi water, ultrapure water), potable water, pumping stations and turbines,... as Biomass or Waste-to Energy plants using biochemical or thermal processes and infrastructure related to hydrogen production, transport and storage.
Primary role for BESIX Environment is mainly within the EPC scope, but in specific projects the scope is extended including a full Operations & Maintenances service contract.
Description du poste
Design - Tendering phase:
- (S)he will follow-up the design works of the 3D modeller, the design works of the consultant/client or partner. To ensure design schedule is met, the plant is maintainable, specifications are followed. He will follow-up clashes with the civils and suggest solutions.
- (S)he will send out RFQ’s for this delivery and mounting of the piping.
- (S)he will follow-up the execution design (stress calculations, thermal dilatations, support design, …), and approve, do the QA/QC.
- (S)he will follow-up (with an equipment expert) the datasheets to be delivered by the consultant/client of partner and assure that they are sufficient for RFQ’s.
- (S)he will send out RFQ’s for these mechanical equipment (pumps, centrifuges, mixers, valves, …).
- After the RFQ’s, (s)he will make a technical/price evaluation of all offers received and make a suggestion under all compliant offers.
- (S)he will establish a final price for this scope and identify the risks (contribute input in the risk matrix for that scope).
Procurement phase:
- (S)he will make a final check with the updated design (from consultant/client or partner) to ensure the chosen supplier/subcontractor is still compliant.
- Prepare the purchase order, negotiate scope and technical quality.
- Let the final equipment/piping/design approve by the partner/consultant or client.
- Send out the final Purchase orders.
- (S)he will than follow-up the progress of the detailed design and production of the subcontractors and the suppliers (together with some equipment experts).
- (S)he will assist to the FAT tests, make any deviations list and FAT report and follow-up the rectifications identified during this FAT.
Installation and commissioning phase:
- (S)he will follow-up the delivery of goods on-site, make sure that all rectifications has been done.
- (S)he will follow-up the mounting of equipment (according to the mounting instructions of the suppliers/sub-contractors).
- (S)he will follow-up the QA/QC of the subcontractors/suppliers.
- (S)he will follow-up the PED directive guidelines (welding procedures, welding tests, hydraulic tests, …).
- Issue the deviations and follow-up the rectifications.
- (S)he will assist during the start-up and commissioning.
- (S)he will continuously follow-up the schedule and the budget. Approve modifications and possible claims together with the Project Manager/Construction Manager.
- (S)he will coordinate with the other disciplines (process, electrical, ...).
Qualifications
- Bachelor in mechanical engineering (electro-mechanical, pipig, …) or equivalent through experience.
- A minimum of 5-10 years experience in an equivalent environment is required.
- Languages: Dutch, French and English are needed.
- Commercial capacities.
- Knowledge/experience in water treatment is not required, but is an asset.
- Basic knowledge/experience in hydraulics, electricity and instrumentation is also an asset.
- Managerial and People skills.
- Team player.
- Communication skills.
