Mission
As Sustainability Communication Manager you will be responsible for translating sustainability initiatives into impactful narratives and effective storytelling in a differentiating way. You will play a strategic role in bridging the gap between sustainable practices within the company, strategic positioning, and effective messaging.
You will work with the Global brand and communication team. Being part of the cross functional sustainability team, work closely together with the product team, the sustainability team and the management of Stanley Stella.
The role report directly to the Head of Global Brand & communication.
Main responsibilities
- Strategy Development: actively participate in Developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability communication strategy, together with the CMO and the head of Brand & Com, aligned with STST’s values and objectives. Contribute to elevate the brand as a thought leader towards various stakeholders such as Corporate, brands, agencies and resellers.
- Content Creation: contribute in executing our communication strategy at Stanley Stella. Develop the right message platform according towards the strategic audience: Crafting and compelling key messages and content to effectively communicate our sustainability initiatives, efforts, and goals fostering awareness, engagement, and positive perceptions among stakeholders. Develop the needs tools to convey messages.
- PR responsibility: Closely work together with PR responsible. Responsible to drive the sustainability topic with the agency and drive a corporate strategy together with the head of Com and CMO. Define strategic platform of speech, key publication and events to be represent the brand authority, develop the ambassadors network to enhance brand visibility.
- Support for the Spokesperson for sustainability-related topics, ensuring accurate representation and positive coverage.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate the organization's sustainability initiatives and progresses.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to sustainability communication, and integrating relevant insights into strategy development. Taking into account regulation changes.
- Performance Monitoring & reporting : monitor the performance of our sustainability communication & PR efforts, define and track appropriate key metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Ensure transparency by effectively communicating the organization's sustainability performance and progress through various channels.
- Crisis Management: contribute to the development of a process for managing sustainability-related crises or issues, and effectively communicate responses to stakeholders.
- Advocacy and Leadership: Act as an advocate for sustainability both internally and externally, demonstrating leadership and commitment to drive positive change within the organization and the broader community.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization to ensure alignment and integration of sustainability communication initiatives with overall business strategies.
- Project management Develop cross functional approach both on a strategic level as well as at product level. Ensure key stakeholders are involved, empowered and align with brand strategy.
Your profile
Key requirements & experienceEXPERIENCE
- Master degree in marketing, communication or business administration.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in B2B brand management, or background in communications, marketing, public relations, or sustainability.
- Experience in developing and implementing sustainable communication strategy for B2B and B2B2C markets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging tailored to B2B audiences.
- Strong storytelling ability to craft compelling narratives, positioning the STST brand as a trusted advisor and industry leader In terms of sustainability, societal and environmental engagements.
- Sustainability experience: Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability issues relevant to the STST sector, with experience integrating sustainability messaging into B2B brand communications and customer interactions.
- Business acumen: T he candidate is result oriented, understand the business ambition and knows how to conceptually translate the vision into a compelling value proposition.

- Proficiency in sustainable communication with a deep understanding of sustainability frameworks and reporting.

- Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals and deliver results in a B2B context.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Agility to adapt to evolving market trends and customer needs with a creative mindset to develop innovative sustainability brand strategies and communication tactics.
- Global Perspective: Experience working in a global organization, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances and market dynamics across different regions.
